Bobbie! The Bobcat

1979 Mercury Bobcat

The only one of my cars to get a name, in memory of the 1980 Bobcat that was to far gone to save, serious rust issues and scrapped in 2010 providing many good parts for the other cars and projects including the keychain.

A good spot for pictures, only wish they would repaint the wall...

What's That Under The Hood?

A few Upgrades = Header, Engine Bored .040 and a Crane Cam.

A good look at the 390cfm 4 Barrel Carb and there is a Racing Cluth Installed.

and now a good look at the Bobcat

I'll be replacing some wheel lip chrome, a few little dings.

bumpers front and rear are in great! shape.

The Bobcat Street Machine Has A Hitch!

Rear Louvers and Custom Pinstripes and Graphics.

Shiny Chrome and I Just Love Them Wheels and Tires!

A Louvered Hood and Sun Roof!

I installed some Shiny! Headlight Buckets.

Now for the interior.

Grant Steering Wheel, I have an Original Bobcat Sport Wheel to replace it with.

Standard Interior, needs a little cleanup but still very nice!

It's a Radio Delete car but holes have been cut in dash and it has a vintage AM/FM/Cassett and Power Booster/EQ with Dash Speakers. I believe I will be able to remove the stero and Booster and cover the holes, never know they were there and install a newer AM/FM/CD/MP3 in the standard location.

the back seat is nice and clean

All in all a very nice ride and a great addition to my collection.

Many Thanks Doug!

and now for a little video posted on my YouTube channel
